Why BBNaija S10’s Kuture Delayed Going for HOH Until Week 4
During the live eviction show aired on August 3, 2025, Kuture opened up to host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu about his deliberate decision to avoid competing for the Head of House (HOH) position until the fourth week.
Too Much Pressure, Not Ready Yet
At 27, Kuture explained that taking on HOH duties involves heavy responsibility and mental readiness he just didn’t possess early in the game.
“HOH carries a lot of weight. It’s easier to control animals than human beings,” he said, comparing the challenge of managing housemates to handling unruly animals. He added that he didn’t feel prepared for that kind of pressure.
Lack of Respect for the Current HOH
Kuture also pointed out that Jason Jae, the first HOH, isn’t treated with much respect by some housemates—further discouraging him from taking the mantle too soon.
“Some housemates don’t even respect the HOH, and I’m not mentally ready for that yet,” he told Ebuka.
