Afeez Abiodun Reveals His Wife Mide Is the Opposite of Her Screen Personas
Renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker Afeez Abiodun, popularly known as Afeez Owo, has shed light on the striking contrast between his wife Mide Martins’ real-life demeanor and the fiery characters she often portrays in films.
In a candid conversation with The Nation, Abiodun emphasized that although Mide frequently takes on bold and confrontational roles, she is, in reality, gentle and non-confrontational. He shared, “She’s the opposite of what people see on TV… I have never had any reason to separate her from fighting anyone on set. She would rather get into her car and drive off than engage in any fight.”
To illustrate the difference further, Abiodun contrasted Mide with fellow actress Wunmi Toriola, noting that Wunmi’s on-screen persona closely mirrors her real-life attitude: “If you don’t look for her trouble she won’t fight you, but if you trespass, she will act exactly as you see in movies.”
