Actress Motunde Says False Rumours About Pregnancy With Mr. Macaroni Devastated Her
In a recent interview, actress Omotunde Sogunle, popularly known as Motunde in Mr. Macaroni’s comedy skits, revealed that she was badly hurt by circulated claims that she was pregnant by Mr. Macaroni and had an abortion. She described the rumours as “shocking and impossible.”
The allegations, Motunde said, were particularly painful because Mr. Macaroni plays her on-screen father. She questioned, “When did that happen? Is it possible for something like that between people in a working relationship?”
Although deeply affected at the time, Motunde has since moved past the incident. She said she now laughs about it together with Mr. Macaroni, who she credits with teaching her the value of staying silent for one’s own peace. She noted that responding to false claims often drags matters out, forcing constant explanations.
