Actor Tom Holland sustained a mild concussion while filming a stunt for the upcoming Marvel-Sony film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The injury occurred at Leavesden Studios in Watford on Friday.

After the incident, Holland hit his head and was taken to hospital. Fortunately, no other cast or crew members were hurt.

Production was temporarily halted following the accident, and Holland is expected to rest for several days as a precaution.

Studios from Sony Pictures and Marvel are meeting to assess the situation and decide the next steps for filming.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for release in July 2026. This film marks Holland’s fourth appearance in the lead role as Spider-Man, following Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home (2021). Returning cast members include Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando, with new additions such as Liza Colón-Zayas, Tramell Tillman, and Sadie Sink.
