In its announcement, Spotify highlighted how Afrobeats continues to broaden its reach globally, from Nigeria to Brazil and beyond.

The streaming platform also encouraged music fans to explore not only top artists but also the songs and countries driving the genre’s ongoing growth.

Among the most-streamed Afrobeats songs in 2025 are:

“Santa” by Ayra Starr featuring Rauw Alejandro and Rvssian

“Shake It To The Max (FLY)” (Remix) by Moliy with Shenseea, Silent Addy, and Skillibeng

“Calm Down” by Rema (featuring Selena Gomez)

Spotify also listed We Pray, a collaborative track by Burna Boy, Coldplay, Elyanna, Little Simz, and Tini, among standout songs.

In terms of geography, the United States, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Nigeria emerged as the leading countries fueling Afrobeats’ streaming momentum in 2025.

Notably absent from the top list are some prominent names such as Davido and Tems, both of whom have remained influential in the Afrobeats scene.

Despite their absence, Spotify’s ranking reinforces the genre’s ascent as a global force and the growing impact of its leading stars.
