Natasha Akide (Tacha) Says Love Alone Won’t Be Enough for Marriage
Nigerian media personality and former reality-TV star, Tacha, has declared that she no longer plans to marry just for love. Speaking in a recent interview with Yanga FM in Lagos, she explained that her views on marriage have shifted dramatically since gaining fame and financial independence.
“I can’t marry just because of love. I’m looking for a billionaire. I’m a millionaire, so my potential husband should be richer than me. I’m certain I can’t marry for love. If I was before Big Brother Naija, maybe it would have been an option. But right now, it’s a No.”
Tacha emphasised that while she once might have viewed love as sufficient, her position has changed: financial and lifestyle compatibility now matter far more than emotion alone. She added that marriage is not a priority at this time, as she is currently focusing on advancing her career, growing her brand and building on her achievements.
Her remarks have sparked discussion online about modern relationship expectations, particularly among high-profile individuals whose values may evolve with wealth and status.
