Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez (Emeka Akumefule) has expressed his openness to the concept of open marriage, suggesting that such arrangements can be beneficial when partners are physically separated due to commitments like work or touring.

In a recent appearance on the In My Opinion podcast, Blaqbonez explained that the initial passion in most relationships naturally diminishes over time. He believes that if a spouse is unavailable, it’s acceptable for their partner to seek intimacy elsewhere, provided the emotional and mental connection remains intact.

“If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling, touring, I’m not available to be getting intimate with her all the time. That is okay. There’s more to marriage than sex. I don’t mind that you’re sleeping with someone else provided you’re dedicated to me,” Blaqbonez stated.

He further emphasized that an outsider would find it challenging to replace the deeper emotional bond he shares with his partner, noting that such connections are unique and not easily replicated.

Additionally, Blaqbonez proposed a living arrangement where he and his future spouse would maintain separate rooms, coming together only for intimacy when mutually desired. He believes this approach could help maintain individual space while preserving the relationship’s intimacy.

“If I’m even going to get married, I need two rooms. Me and my wife will only meet when we want to have intimacy,” he added.
