Actress Iyabo Ojo Denounces Facebook Impostor, Demands Immediate Identity Removal
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has issued a stern warning to the operator of a Facebook page impersonating her identity, calling for the removal of her name, image and any suggestion of her affiliation.
In a recent Instagram video, Ojo revealed that the Facebook page in question has amassed approximately 2.7 million followers while using her photograph and name to publish blog‑style content. She said she has already attempted to report the page to Facebook but is now publicly demanding that the individual behind it remove her name and change the page’s branding.

In her statement, she further criticised the person for using her identity to spread content and generate income:
She insisted the page is not a fan‑page she authorised, and she holds no knowledge of its creation or the person behind it.
She demanded immediate removal of her name and visuals from the page, again stating: “Take my name off it. Remove my name. Remove my picture… This is the last warning I’m going to give you…”
She cautioned that if the demands are not met, she will take further action to have the page taken down.
Ojo also condemned others impersonating her across social‑media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook, telling those responsible to “get a life and get a job” rather than misuse her identity online.
The actress urged the individual behind the page to rebrand and operate under their own identity rather than trading on her name and reputation.
What’s next: Ojo indicated that she is prepared to escalate the matter through formal channels if the impersonator fails to comply with her directive.
