Yvonne Jegede Urges Regina Daniels to Escape Domestic Violence
Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has called on her colleague Regina Daniels to protect herself should she face domestic abuse in her marriage.
In an Instagram post, Jegede urged Daniels not to tolerate violence, writing:
“Regina Daniels, if domestic violence is involved, leave to live. Do not let bitter and jobless internet trolls bully you. There’s no excuse for domestic violence! We love you, and your experience is valid.”
Her message comes amid swirling online conversations about Daniels’ reported claims of domestic violence against her husband, Ned Nwoko.
Jegede’s post has elicited diverse reactions from social media users. Some applauded her courage, while others expressed disagreement. One user, @edos_artistry, wrote:
“Since yesterday, I’ve been angry, but I don’t want to be commenting on blogs… Tomorrow someone else will suffer in silence … then people will weep crocodile tears.”
On the other hand, @mr_aboobae responded critically:
“She said she’d rather cry in a Ferrari. Why fight for someone who already chose her poison? She said Nigerians shouldn’t advise her … I’d wait for her to settle with him and insult you online advocates.”
