Osun State Partners with FG to Export Indigenous Products, Governor Adeleke

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State says the state government is collaborating with the Federal Government to boost the export of locally made goods.

He revealed that the state has entered into partnerships with key federal agencies, including the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), to facilitate access to international markets.

According to Adeleke, Osun-produced items such as honey, cocoa, adire fabrics, black soap, garri, and other craft goods are already meeting global standards.

He noted that the government will focus on improving packaging, branding, and export readiness for these products.

To support this drive, Adeleke said his administration has developed industrial clusters and agro-processing zones within the state. These zones are intended to increase production capacity, add value to raw materials, and position Osun as a hub for agro-allied and creative industries.

The move comes as part of a broader industrialisation and economic diversification agenda, leveraging Osun’s rich cultural heritage and agrarian potential.
