Nnadozie Clinches Third Consecutive CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Super Falcons’ goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has won the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, making it a remarkable three-peat in the category.

The 24-year-old was honored at the CAF Awards ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco, where she edged out Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to retain the prestigious gong.

This accolade caps off a stellar year for Nnadozie, both for club and country. She was instrumental in Paris FC’s success as they lifted the Coupe de France Féminine, and she played a key role in Nigeria’s campaign at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

During WAFCON, she kept four clean sheets, helping the Super Falcons clinch their record-extending 10th continental title, and was awarded the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper.

Following her national team success, Nnadozie made a high-profile move to Brighton & Hove Albion in England’s Women’s Super League, where she wasted no time making her mark, earning Player of the Match on her debut and nominations such as WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.

Her latest CAF win not only cements her status as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers but also extends her legacy, as she becomes one of the few players (male or female) to win a CAF award three years in a row.
