Social media critic Daniel Regha has publicly condemned what he describes as Nigeria’s “selective justice” system, warning that the country is operating with one set of rules for the powerful and another for ordinary citizens.

Regha, well-known on the platform X (formerly Twitter), argued that wealthy and influential people often escape accountability, while dissenting voices and less privileged individuals face punitive treatment.

He specifically pointed to the recent conviction of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), saying the harsh enforcement of laws against him underscores the double standards in Nigeria’s justice system.

In one post, Regha wrote: “Nigeria has two justice systems; the rules for the poor, and the pass for the elites.”

His commentary has ignited debate online, with many users echoing his claim that justice in Nigeria is uneven, favoring those with power, wealth, or influence, while penalizing those who challenge the status quo.
