Edo Assembly summons lawmaker Natasha Irobosa over viral marital dispute

The Edo State House of Assembly has issued a formal summons to Natasha Irobosa, representing Egor Constituency, calling on her to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week to answer allegations of misconduct.

The invitation follows a series of widely circulated online videos that show the lawmaker and her husband, 2Baba, engaged in a heated public altercation. The Assembly’s Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku, said the incidents have “dragged the name of the House into the mud,” warning that such conduct is unacceptable and threatens the integrity of the legislative body.

According to him, the Ethics Committee has been instructed to investigate the matter and submit its findings within two weeks.

The summon has intensified public interest, given that Natasha is married to 2Baba, a prominent musician, and many of the videos in question have sparked debate among fans and social‑media users. Observers note that the Assembly’s action marks a rare case where a personal dispute has triggered formal legislative scrutiny.
