“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” reignites scrutiny of Sean “Diddy” Combs and raises fresh questions about the deaths of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

A new four‑part documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, has returned global focus to Sean “Diddy” Combs, now serving a 50‑month federal prison sentence, by re‑examining long‑standing controversies from 1990s hip‑hop.

The series, executive‑produced by longtime rival Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, draws on interviews with former associates, jurors, and previously unseen footage captured just days before Combs’ 2024 arrest.

Among its boldest allegations: Accusers claim Combs had links with criminal elements and may have played a role in orchestrating violence, even offering $1 million to gang members to eliminate Shakur and another rival.

The documentary further alleges that Combs influenced the final days and movements of The Notorious B.I.G., contributing to the circumstances that led to his 1997 killing.

Combs’ camp strongly rejects the claims, calling the documentary a “shameful hit piece,” and accusing the producers of using unauthorized or stolen footage.

In response, supporters of the documentary say The Reckoning gives voice to survivors and former insiders who claim to have witnessed years of coercion, threats, exploitation, and violence, events they say shaped Combs’ rise and fall in the music industry.

With the release of The Reckoning, the unresolved murders of Tupac and Biggie have resurfaced under renewed scrutiny, reigniting debate over what really happened during one of the darkest periods in hip‑hop history.
