Mai Mala Buni has secured another term as Governor of Yobe State, after winning in all 17 local government areas of the state with a total of 317,113 votes.
His closest competitor, Alhaji Sharif Abdulahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), trailed behind with a total of 104,259 votes.
The results were announced by the Returning Officer for the Gubernatorial election in the state, Prof. Umar Pate, who is also the VC of the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe state. According to Prof. Pate, the total number of accredited voters was 459,492, with 444,567 valid votes and a total of 457,781 votes cast.
This victory marks a significant moment for Governor Buni, as he can now continue to implement his plans for the development of Yobe State, while also working to address the challenges faced by the state.
The people of Yobe State have spoken, and they have chosen Governor Buni to lead them towards a brighter future.
