The Federal Government Has Finally Revealed The Number Of Delegates Who Have Been Sponsored To Attend The Climate Summit In Dubai

The federal government of President Bola Tinubu has revealed the number of participants it has sponsored to the climate change meeting taking place in Dubai.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information, the overall delegates on the train to the Arab country included those sponsored by the government (Federal and State Governments) as well as those who were not sponsored by the government (Private Companies, NGOs, CSOs, Media, academia, and so on).

Many Nigerians have questioned the government over the big delegation aboard President Bola Tinubu’s train to the ongoing COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai.

The opposition parties, notably the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Yunusa Tanko, the spokeswoman for the Labour Party presidential campaign council, had previously urged the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government to publicise the identities of the delegates sponsored for the summit.

The PDP and Labour Party have slammed the previous list in circulation, calling it callous in light of the country’s current difficult economic conditions.
