Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Most Capped Footballer in International History

Cristiano Ronaldo, widely considered the greatest footballer of all time, has broken yet another record. He has become the most capped footballer in international history, making his 197th appearance for Portugal.

Ronaldo’s achievement came during Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifying opener against Liechtenstein, where he scored a brace in a 4-0 win. The former Manchester United star was instrumental in securing the victory, scoring the third goal from the penalty spot and a trademark free kick for the fourth.

Under new manager Roberto Martinez, Ronaldo started the match and proved he still has what it takes to deliver for his country. This performance was a stark contrast to his World Cup performance, which he has put behind him.

Ronaldo’s record-breaking appearance is another incredible feat for the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). His remarkable career includes multiple Ballon d’Or awards, four UEFA Champions League titles, and countless other records.
