BBNaija Evictee Kayikunmi Reflects: “People Didn’t See Me Because of Isabella”
Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Oluwakayikunmi “Kayikunmi” Ajibade, 25, from Ekiti State, has candidly shared how his relationship with fellow contestant Isabella overshadowed his own identity in the house.
In a recent conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Kayikunmi expressed that his calm, soft-spoken nature was often eclipsed by Isabella’s outgoing and dominant personality. “In a relationship, there’s always a stronger person,” he remarked. “She was much more outgoing… I was more calm and reserved.”
He went on to explain that this imbalance in personalities affected how other housemates interacted with him. “At the early stage, many didn’t get to know me as me,” he said. Some were hesitant to engage, likely because they were wary of possible drama associated with Isabella—who, as he suggested, wasn’t exactly the most popular person in the house. “They would say, ‘I don’t want issues,’” Kayikunmi reflected.
Despite these challenges, he maintained a graceful outlook on the experience, stating, “It’s not necessarily negative. It is what it is, I can’t cry over spilt milk.”
For context, Big Brother Naija Season 10 premiered with a two-night launch on July 26 and 27, 2025, and both Kayikunmi and fellow contestant Otega were evicted on August 18.
