Hiba Abouk Breaks Silence on Divorce from PSG Defender Achraf Hakimi and Rape Allegations

Hiba Abouk, the former wife of Achraf Hakimi, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has finally spoken out about her divorce from the Moroccan footballer. Abouk revealed that she remained calm despite the rape allegations leveled against Hakimi, but needed time to come to terms with the shock. In February, Hakimi was accused of rape, which ultimately led to their divorce.

Abouk was taken aback when she filed for fifty percent of Hakimi’s assets, only to discover that his wealth was in his mother’s name. Abouk and Hakimi share two children, Amín, three, and Naim, one, after getting married in 2020, two years after meeting in 2018.

In an interview with ELLE on Wednesday, Abouk shared that she was doing well despite the circumstances, acknowledging that there were good days and bad days. She also expressed how unexpected and painful the situation was, and that she needed time to process it.

Abouk emphasized the importance of taking time to make difficult decisions during a crisis, especially with two young children. She acknowledged that restructuring her life after the separation was emotionally challenging but remained positive, recognizing that she had done everything she could and had the peace of mind that comes with trying her best.
