Singer Omawumi recently shared how music producer Cobhams Asuquo played a pivotal role in boosting her career.
Reflecting on her early days, she recounted their first meeting. Cobhams approached her with an offer: to record a song. He warned that the song might not immediately make waves, but encouraged her to take the chance anyway.
She accepted. That collaboration opened doors, she became a brand ambassador for a product for two years, and even had the opportunity to open for P-Square in four separate locations.
Beyond the opportunities, Omawumi says Cobhams taught her important lessons: how to deliver a performance well, how to carry herself on stage, and the finer details of posture and presence. Those skills, she says, contributed significantly to how she developed as an artist.
