I Retract My Statement" – EeZee Conceptz MD Bows to Pressure as Peace Talks Begin with Mercy Chinwo Over $345K Royalties
The Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy, has publicly retracted her earlier allegations against gospel music star Mercy Chinwo, signaling a turning point in the high-profile royalty dispute that has rocked the Nigerian gospel music scene.

The development comes amid ongoing legal drama between Chinwo and her former label boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (aka EeZee Tee), whom she dragged to court in January 2025 over the alleged diversion of $345,000 in unpaid music royalties.

Mercy Chinwo, known for hits like Excess Love and Obinasom, parted ways with EeZee Conceptz in 2022 following unresolved financial issues. But things escalated when, amid the legal standoff, Coach Nancy accused Chinwo of financial misconduct — an allegation that prompted the singer to file a defamation suit demanding a public apology and removal of the defamatory content.

Now, in a surprising twist, Coach Nancy appears to be making peace.

Taking to her Instagram page over the weekend, she wrote:

Following my lawyer’s counsel and in the spirit of peace and reverence for God, I hereby withdraw my previous statement regarding Minister Mercy Chinwo. I also earnestly pray that God brings to completion the ongoing reconciliation process being led by respected Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.

Sources close to the situation reveal that the reconciliation talks are being mediated by prominent religious leaders who are working behind the scenes to resolve the rift and avoid prolonged legal warfare that could damage the reputation of both parties.

With this public retraction, attention now turns to whether Mercy Chinwo will reciprocate with a truce — or press forward with her legal claims. Fans are watching closely, hoping for an amicable resolution between two key figures in Nigeria’s thriving gospel music industry.
