It’s Not Stylish, RudeBoy Blasts Young Artists for Smoking On-Cam
Nigerian singer Paul “RudeBoy” Okoye has issued a stark message to emerging artists: stop glamorising smoking in your visualizers. In a recent Instagram story, he challenged the notion that lighting up on camera is “swag.”
In Pidgin English, RudeBoy asked: “Who told you that shooting a visualizer video means you must smoke igbo on camera—even before the music kicks in? If you’re spending on weed but skipping proper meals, you’re doing it wrong. At least eat well. Don’t tell me it’s swag or style.”
He pointedly criticized the unhealthy impact of spending large sums on drugs while neglecting nutrition. Many rising stars, he argued, appear malnourished, opting for substance over sustenance.
