Iyabo Ojo Speaks Out on Lizzy Anjorin’s Alleged Attacks on Her Family
Actress Iyabo Ojo has responded publicly to what she describes as persistent and hurtful attacks leveled by fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, attacks which Ojo says are largely aimed at her family, and especially her grandson.
In an Instagram post, Ojo acknowledged how difficult it has been to remain silent in the face of the negative comments, but she said she has intentionally refrained from engaging—for now. She reassured her followers that her legal team is fully engaged and preparing to take action when the time is right.
“I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson,” she wrote. “Honestly, most of the time, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions.”
“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They’re taking notes of everything … everything has its timing.”
Ojo explained that in recent months she has been intentionally focused on her family—welcoming her newborn grandson, supporting her daughter in motherhood, and providing emotional and spiritual support at home. She said she needed space to tend to those priorities before engaging in public conflict.
She added that once she returns to Lagos, she plans to confront the challenges directly. “Silence can be powerful, and while it’s not always easy for me, I know it’s sometimes necessary,” Ojo said. She thanked her fans for their concern and pledged to keep them updated when “the time is right.”
