Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero, Featuring Charli XCX, to Close the London Film Festival
Julia Jackman’s much-anticipated historical fantasy 100 Nights of Hero, starring Charli XCX, Emma Corrin, and Nicholas Galitzine, has been selected as the Closing Night Gala film at the 69th BFI London Film Festival. The UK premiere will take place on October 19, 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall, where many of the film’s stars are expected to attend.
Adapted from Isabel Greenberg’s beloved graphic novel—and inspired by the Middle Eastern folktales in One Thousand and One Nights, this whimsical drama follows a neglected wife, Cherry (Maika Monroe), whose husband wagers she can be seduced by his visitor, Manfred (Galitzine), within 100 nights. But Cherry and her clever maid, Hero (Corrin), cleverly resist his advances.
The film boasts a glittering ensemble, including Felicity Jones, Richard E. Grant, and Amir El-Masry, and offers a fairy-tale world laced with wit, romance, and subversive charm.
