Kano State Governor Affirms Continuation of Four New Emirates Despite Criticisms from Kwankwaso

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reaffirmed that the four new emirates created by his administration are here to stay despite criticism from Kwankwaso. In his speech during the Workers’ Day celebration held at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Ganduje stated that God would not bring anyone who would destroy them.

The governor had split the Kano emirates into five, which resulted in the dethronement of the former Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi. A viral video last week showed Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), saying that the incoming government of Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf would review the dethronement and splitting of the emirate.

However, in his concluding remarks, Governor Ganduje stressed that the creation of the four new emirates was for unity, progress, history, and the revival of the reputation of traditional institutions. He assured the people that the emirates are permanent and that anyone who attempts to destroy them would face the wrath of God.

Ganduje went on to add that the emirates were created for the benefit of the people, and that anyone who visits their headquarters would witness the development brought to those areas. He further stated that he would pray for the protection of the emirates from all evils, even after leaving office.

In summary, Governor Ganduje has reaffirmed the permanence of the four new emirates created by his administration, stating that they were created for the unity, progress, and well-being of the people.
