Legend Stout, Adekunle Gold Team Up to Celebrate Nigerian Culture
In a bold expression of cultural pride and artistic collaboration, Legend Extra Stout joined forces with singer-songwriter Adekunle Gold to spotlight Nigeria’s musical heritage through a vibrant street carnival in Lagos.
The event, dubbed “Legend Extra Stout x Mainland BlockParty,” was staged on Broad Street, Lagos Island. It was organized as part of the rollout festivities for Gold’s sixth studio album, Fuji. The partnership is part of Legend Extra Stout’s broader efforts to support Nigerian creativity, artistry, and cultural identity.
According to the organizers, the carnival brought together fans and performers alike to celebrate the intersection of music, originality, and bold expression. The brand stated that the collaboration is aligned with Legend Extra Stout’s values, emphasising boldness, authenticity, and a connection to Nigeria’s dynamic spirit.
During the event, Adekunle Gold performed selections from his catalogue and was joined on stage by rapper Zlatan, while rising singer Tml Vibez also entertained attendees. A highlight of the carnival was a tribute to Fuji music, the genre that inspired Gold’s latest project. For this homage, veteran Fuji artists Saheed Osupa, Taye Currency, and Obesere appeared on stage alongside Gold.
Central to the celebration was Legend Extra Stout’s iconic bar setup, which allowed guests to partake in brand-themed festivities. The company affirmed that this collaboration reaffirms its commitment to honouring Nigeria’s musical legacy while engaging the next generation of bold, expressive Nigerians.
