Mr Eazi Plays Down the Role of Music Earnings in Financing His Wedding to Temi Otedola
Lagos, August 22, 2025, Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has dispelled speculation that his music income alone funded his wedding to Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola.
Responding to a comment on X, where a user implied that Mr Eazi might be monetizing his music to recoup wedding costs, he cheekily replied: “U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”
Another user countered by suggesting that his earnings from the successful 2017–2018 period could easily cover the expenses. To that, Mr Eazi admitted that although it was a “hit-run” music-wise, those were his financially toughest years in nearly a decade. “2017–18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha im really thankful,” he said
Reports confirm that Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola recently exchanged vows in a private ceremony held in Iceland. The couple initially got engaged in London in April 2022. He has also revealed that his connection with Temi began through her elder sister, DJ Cuppy, who was a mutual friend.
