Music Power Couple Adekunle Gold and Simi Welcome Twin Babies
Popular Nigerian musicians Adekunle Gold and his wife, award‑winning singer Simi, have joyfully welcomed twin babies, delighting fans and followers across social media and the entertainment world.
The couple shared the happy news on Wednesday, January 7, with Adekunle Gold announcing the arrival on his Snapchat story. Accompanying a photo of two baby outfits, he wrote: “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double.”
Although the genders of the newborns have not yet been publicly revealed, the announcement has triggered an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues and other celebrities.
The birth of the twins comes after weeks of growing speculation about Simi’s pregnancy. In December 2025, Simi appeared with a visible baby bump in the music video for Adekunle Gold’s single “My Love Is the Same,” and later posted a related Instagram clip captioned “From my baby, for my babies,” which fueled anticipation among their followers.
Adekunle Gold, whose real name is Adekunle Kosoko, and Simisola “Simi” Kosoko got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 and are regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired music power couples.
The new arrivals expand their family following the birth of their first child, a daughter Adejare “Deja” Kosoko, in May 2020, who inspired Simi’s viral hit song “Duduke.”
Fans have flooded social platforms with well wishes for the couple and welcoming messages for the twins, celebrating the rare and joyful moment for the beloved entertainers.
