Muslims are Urged to Look for the Ramadan Crescent Moon

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Saudi Arabia has urged Muslims to look for the Ramadan crescent moon on the evening of March 21.

The sighting of the crescent moon indicates the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.

To ensure the accurate sighting of the crescent moon, the Supreme Court has requested individuals who spot the crescent moon, either with their naked eye or through binoculars, to report it to the nearest court and register their observation.

While the moon sighting committee of Saudi Arabia typically observes the moon in the days leading up to Ramadan, the committee has encouraged other Muslims who wish to sight the moon to participate as well.
