Nollywood actress and producer Mobimpe Adedimeji recently revealed a painful truth: someone is impersonating her online and hijacking her creative content. The issue comes via a YouTube channel named Mobimpewrite’s Stories, which has been shamelessly copying her videos, posters, and even heartfelt captions, often uploading them shortly after she does, making people believe the content is genuinely hers.

In an emotionally charged message on Instagram, she shared:

“I’m tired. I’m fed up. … Yesterday was my mum’s birthday. And this person stole my entire caption, my entire post, and made it hers, like it meant nothing. That’s not inspiration. That’s disrespectful.”

She also pointed out the chilling impact of the impostor gaining followers and engagement using her hard work:

“She’s gaining subscribers, followers, likes, and comments, growing off my hard work and deceiving people who think it’s me. And the painful part? Some of you don’t even know it’s not me!”

Despite her team’s repeated attempts to report the issue to YouTube, the content remains live. Mobimpe is understandably drained, writing:

“I’m mentally exhausted. Imagine pouring your heart into your work only for someone else to keep stealing it and smiling.”

But she’s refusing to stay silent. Speaking directly to the impersonator, she warned:

“To the person behind that page… Just know that you will not go scot‑free. What you’re doing is deeply wrong… you will be caught. Soon.”

Mobilizing her fans, Mobimpe pleaded:

“Please fam, go on YouTube for me and report this page: Mobimpewrite’s Stories. Mass report it until it’s taken down… If you know ANY solid way to bring these channels down legally, technically, any method at all, please drop a comment or send a DM.”

Her final rallying cry came from the heartbreak and passion she’s invested in her brand:

“I built MOBIMPE TV with tears, passion, and consistency, and I won’t let someone else ruin that or hijack what I’ve poured my heart and soul into. Thank y’all.”
