Odera Mbadiwe Thanks Nigerians After Harrowing Disappearance and Recovery
Odera Mbadiwe, younger brother of reality TV stars Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe (a.k.a. the Mbadiwe Twins), has expressed profound gratitude to Nigerians for their support following his recent disappearance.
What Happened
Odera went missing on September 1, 2025, in Victoria Island, Lagos, while driving his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible.
The twins raised alarm on social media, sharing details of his physical appearance, about 6 ft 2 in, muscular build, black fade haircut, brown eyes, and urged the public to help via tips to the police.
His Ordeal & Rescue
In an Instagram post, Odera described that he was allegedly administered a mixture of harmful substances by unknown individuals, which incapacitated him and made it impossible for him to return home.
After several days, a kindhearted young woman and a man found him in a distressed state by the roadside and alerted his family. This led to his rescue and eventual return.
Gratitude & Reflection
Odera thanked Nigerians at large, his family, friends, and particularly those who shared information that helped. He also expressed appreciation for the Nigerian Police and relevant security agencies for their swift actions in ensuring his safe recovery.
He said he is “safe and recovering,” gradually regaining strength, both physically and mentally. Odera described the experience as one that reinforced his faith, the importance of love, community, and family.
