Rapper Odumodublvck reaffirmed his deep commitment to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), saying that if he had a billion naira, he would gladly donate it, and even more. He emphasized on X (formerly Twitter) that serving God isn’t something done under compulsion; it shouldn’t be tied to financial contributions and certainly doesn’t determine one’s salvation. His message was clear: actions and genuine faith matter far more than how much one gives.
He also declared that he and his family will “support the work of Christ shamelessly,” unbothered by any criticism. He dismissed the notion that donating large sums is a prerequisite for divine favor: “They did not say that if you do not drop ₦1 billion, you will not enter heaven,” he wrote.
Further, Odumodublvck spoke candidly about how society often trivializes church support. He pointed out that the church often sustains many people, including pastors who support vulnerable congregation members. Yet, after service, people head off for leisurely weekends, seemingly oblivious, or ungrateful, for what the church does behind the scenes. His words painted a vivid contrast: while many have the luxury to relax after worship, others rely on the church’s modest handouts to get by.
