Paris Saint‑Germain dominate 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11
In a resounding nod to their outstanding 2024-25 campaign, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) claimed an unprecedented presence in the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11. Five PSG players secured inclusion in the team of the year, the highest number ever achieved by the French club.
Highlights of the achievement
Voting in the World 11 was conducted by more than 26,000 professional footballers across 68 countries.
The five PSG players selected are:
Gianluigi Donnarumma (goalkeeper)
Achraf Hakimi (defender)
Nuno Mendes (defender)
Vitinha (midfielder)
Ousmane Dembélé (forward)
Why this matters
The feat underscores PSG’s dominance in the 2024-25 season: having captured the much-coveted UEFA Champions League title and secured a treble, the club’s players now receive peer recognition for their individual and collective achievements.
Each of the five representatives made significant contributions:
Donnarumma anchored the defence and boasted one of the top save-rates in Ligue 1.
Hakimi was influential both defensively and offensively, ranking high for goal contributions among defenders.
Nuno Mendes combined defensive solidity with attacking impetus, making key interceptions and scoring as a full-back.
Vitinha orchestrated play from midfield, with outstanding passing statistics and consistency.
Dembélé capped his resurgence with goal scoring and variety in attack, rounding off a standout season.
Broader context
This year’s selection also saw other historic notes: only 10 players made their debut in the World 11, and a new youngest-ever men’s selection was made, with Lamine Yamal (aged 18) becoming the youngest player ever included.
Final thought
PSG’s heavy representation in the World 11 is both a reflection of the club’s remarkable season and a signal that its players are now regarded among the global elite, not just for trophy-winning, but for individual quality as judged by their professional peers.
