Promiscuity: A Major Challenge for Famous Artists—According to Ubi Franklin Promiscuity: A Major Challenge for Famous Artists—According to Ubi Franklin

Ubi Franklin, the renowned Nigerian talent manager and record label founder, has pointed to promiscuity as one of the greatest pitfalls for artists once they attain success. According to him, the issue doesn’t discriminate, it affects male and female artists alike.

From Control to Chaos after the First Hit
Franklin shared on the Culture Sonic Podcast that artists are relatively easy to manage early in their careers, before they break through. But once an artist has their first hit, things change quickly. “The only artist that can be controlled is the one that has not had a hit. Once they have a hit, the first biggest problem is womanizing. For female singers, it’s promiscuity” he said.

Industry-Wide Consequences
He stressed that as artists rise, maintaining discipline becomes difficult. Personal lives grow movingly complicated, and the pressures of fame often lead to infidelity, cheating scandals, or bedroom leaks. Such behavior has been an age‑old problem within the music world.

A Warning to the Up-and-Coming
With his insight, Franklin seems to be sending a clear message: aspiring artists should be wary of fame’s temptations. Success may bring adoration and attention, but it can also trigger poor choices that threaten long‑term careers.
