Senator Ned Nwoko Blames Wife’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse For Viral Domestic Disturbance
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has addressed the controversy surrounding a viral video of his wife, actress Regina Daniels, who appeared in a recording claiming she was suffering domestic violence at the couple’s residence.
In a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the senator said the root of their marital problem lies in Regina’s struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. He asserted that her behaviour had drastically changed, and warned that unless she entered a rehabilitation programme, her life could be at risk.
Nwoko further accused his wife of being the aggressive party in the household, alleging that she assaulted three staff members and damaged property, including cars and windows, all within a 48-hour period. He claimed that while he rushed their child, Moon, to hospital, chaos erupted at home under the influence of her main drug supplier, identified only as “Sammy,” and another individual he labelled “Ann.”
He revealed that he had given Regina a clear condition: accept rehabilitation either in Asokoro (Nigeria) or abroad, specifically Jordan, where she would not have access to drugs. According to the statement, her current environment gives her unrestricted access to substances, which he believes is exacerbating the situation.
This public response marks Senator Nwoko’s first official comment since the circulation of the video in which Regina alleged abuse. The development adds another layer to their marital challenges, now spilling into the public domain.
