Senator Ned Nwoko Releases Videos, States Samuel “Sammy West” Ojeogwu, Brother of Actress Regina Daniels, Is in Custody
Former lawmaker and businessman Ned Nwoko says he has released video recordings to support his version of an ongoing family dispute involving his wife, actress Regina Daniels, and her brother, Sammy West (Samuel Ojeogwu). According to Nwoko, the clips show Sammy repeatedly visiting his home in what he describes as harassing behaviour toward Nwoko’s children and domestic staff while he was away.
In a post on the social-media platform X, Nwoko wrote:
“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff … His visits were often aggressive and disruptive.”
He added that he had paid for Sammy’s university education at the University of Ekpoma, furnished him a flat in Abuja, and provided him with musical instruments.
Nwoko further claimed he had transferred N125 million to Regina’s mother over a span of two years, and alleged that some members of Daniels’ family interfered with her efforts to recover from substance issues, saying they repeatedly brought drugs to her home without permission.
Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police, via its spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed that a petition was lodged against Samuel Ojeogwu and three others. Ojeogwu was reportedly arrested in Lagos under a court warrant and transferred to Abuja for investigation.
Regina Daniels reportedly responded publicly, saying she would go back to her husband if it meant her brother would be freed. However, she also expressed fears that staying might expose her to being injected, locked up and assaulted.
Online reactions are mixed. While some sympathise with the actress, others believe Nwoko is leveraging his influence against her family.
