Shank Comics Issues Apology Over Old Post Praising Diddy’s “Mindset”
Popular Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Shank Comics has formally apologised following backlash over an old social-media post in which he appeared to commend the mindset of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The controversy erupted after the post resurfaced online, drawing sharp criticism from netizens who viewed any praise of Diddy as deeply insensitive, especially in light of the serious allegations and crimes he has been convicted of.
In response, Shank clarified that his original post was a “misguided attempt” to reference a movie-villain, and admitted it was careless and irresponsible.
He insisted that he does not, and never did, admire or support Diddy, especially given the gravity of the offences.
Shank further condemned the allegations against Diddy, describing them as “horrific,” stating that “victims deserve justice,” and pledging to use his platform more responsibly moving forward.
