Singer Qdot Robbed at Gunpoint in Lagos Home Invasion
In the early hours of Sunday, Nigerian singer Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, popularly known as Qdot, reportedly fell victim to an armed robbery at his Lagos residence.
The incident is said to have taken place around 2:30 a.m., when gunmen forced their way into his home. The assailants reportedly made off with Qdot’s phones and laptops, and allegedly siphoned money from his bank accounts.
They also are said to have gained unauthorized access to his social media profiles.
Qdot’s talent manager, Dami Adenuga, confirmed the incident on social media, urging the public to be wary of suspicious messages or financial requests emanating from Qdot’s accounts.
Adenuga warned that any outreach purporting to be from the singer should not be trusted at this time.
At the time of publication, the Lagos State Police Command had not yet issued an official statement regarding the robbery.
Qdot, aged 35, is known for fusing Afrobeats and Fuji styles in hits like “Alomo Meta”, “Gbese”, and “Jegele”. Over the years, his distinctive sound and street-inspired lyrics have earned him a strong following within Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.
