Sokoto State to Recruit 2,440 Community Health Workers

The Sokoto State Government, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), has approved the recruitment of 2,440 community health workers to be deployed across primary healthcare centres throughout the state.

According to a statement from the state government, the initiative will cover all 244 wards in Sokoto, strengthening the state’s primary healthcare delivery system and addressing critical manpower gaps at the grassroots.

The new health workers are expected to improve access to essential services, particularly in underserved communities, and contribute to better health outcomes in Sokoto.

Details on the application process, including requirements and timelines, will be released soon by the State Recruitment Committee, the government said.
