Although Pietro Terracciano is a recent addition to AC Milan’s preseason squad, he’s already expressing confidence in the team’s progress, despite their narrow loss to Arsenal.

Milan, currently undergoing a transformation under new manager Massimiliano Allegri, showed signs of promise even in their 1-0 loss. While a result like that might worry fans on the surface, Terracciano believes it’s just part of the growing process.

A Transition in Motion
Speaking to MilanTV after the match, the experienced goalkeeper acknowledged that the club is still adjusting, especially as they shift from what might have been a Conceição-style setup to Allegri’s more structured approach.

You can’t change a team overnight, Terracciano said. We knew Arsenal would be a very technical team with intense pressing. But I think we responded well and showed great effort. The result doesn’t matter as much now, we’re focused on improving and building momentum.”

Encouraging Signs in Camp
Terracciano, who joined Milan’s training later than others, noted that both players and staff have shown real hunger and motivation to bounce back after a disappointing previous season.

There’s a lot of determination from the coach and the entire staff, he said. Everyone wants to start fresh and prove that last season wasn’t reflective of what Milan truly are. From what I’ve seen so far, we’re definitely heading in the right direction.

Settling In Quickly
Despite being a newcomer, Terracciano shared that he’s had no trouble integrating into the squad.

I had no concerns about settling in. I tend to adapt quickly, it’s in my nature. I’m glad to be here and looking forward to what lies ahead.”

Looking Ahead
While Milan still have work to do in the transfer market and several key players yet to return, the early signs under Allegri are positive. As Terracciano noted, “This is just the start of our journey. It’ll take time, but the important thing is we’re making progress.”
