Terrorists Abduct Four Farmers in New Attack on Kwara Community

Armed militants have again struck in Kwara State, this time abducting four rice farmers in Bokungi Village, located in the Edu Local Government Area of the state.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday evening, when the assailants allegedly surrounded the farmers while they were harvesting. According to locals, the gunmen forced them into the bush before kidnapping them.

This fresh attack comes amid a spike in insecurity across Kwara, and communities in Edu LGA are reportedly becoming increasingly deserted, as farmers fear for their safety during the harvest season.

As of now, the Kwara State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the abductions, and it remains unclear who exactly is responsible.
