Veteran Juju Maestro Ebenezer Obey Refutes Death Rumours, Assures Fans: “I’m Alive and Well”
Legendary juju musician Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi has publicly dismissed circulating rumours of his demise or health issues as “lies from the kingdom of darkness,” reaffirming that he is alive and in good health.
In a recent Instagram video alongside his two sons, Obey appeared in high spirits, singing to reassure his followers of his well-being. He captioned the clip simply: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
Obey further explained that he had travelled to London for personal care and expressed frustration with the false reports, some of which featured manipulated images of coffins. He said: “Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself.”
This isn’t the first time Obey has tackled such misinformation. Similar rumours had previously surfaced in 2020 and resurfaced again earlier in 2025.
