The CAC was established by the companies and allied Matters Act, which was promulgated in 1990 to regulate the formation and management of companies in Nigeria

To register with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Choose a name for your company: You will need to decide on a name for your company that is unique and has not already been registered by another company. You can check the availability of your chosen name on the CAC website.
  2. Complete the pre-registration form: You will need to complete the CAC pre-registration form which can be downloaded from the CAC website or obtained from any CAC office. This form contains information about your company such as the name, type of business, address, and shareholders.
  3. Pay the necessary fees: You will need to pay the required fees for your company registration. The fees depend on the type of company you are registering and the authorized share capital.
