Horrific Attack: Kano Woman Stabs 6-Year-Old Girl Over Husband’s Alleged Second Marriage Plans

In a shocking incident that unfolded in Gadon Kaya Damatsiri, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, a 6-year-old girl named Sherifat Usman was brutally stabbed by her neighbor, Fatima Malam. The motive behind the attack was reportedly the neighbor’s anger towards Sherifat’s father, who had allegedly advised Fatima’s husband to take a second wife. This act of vengeance has left the community in shock and disbelief.

According to sources, Fatima, a middle-aged woman, took out her anger on innocent Sherifat, repeatedly stabbing her in the stomach with the intention of ending her life. Immediately after committing the gruesome act, Fatima fled the scene, leaving Sherifat in a critical condition.

The incident came to light when passers-by heard Sherifat’s cries for help and rushed to the uncompleted building where the attack had taken place. Miraculously, the little girl survived the horrific assault and was promptly rescued.

Fatima’s husband, known as Mallam, claimed that his wife is mentally deranged, attempting to provide an explanation for her shocking actions.

However, further investigation revealed that Fatima had intentionally lured Sherifat to accompany her to Mariri in Kumbotso Local Government Area, where the vicious attack unfolded. Prior to the incident, Fatima had even purchased a kitchen knife on credit, indicating premeditation.

Witnesses reported that Fatima had been displaying increasingly strange behavior recently. Just weeks before the attack, she had brandished a pestle, threatening to harm someone if her husband proceeded with taking a second wife.

The local police, represented by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, have confirmed the incident and stated that they are actively investigating the case. Efforts are underway to apprehend Fatima, who fled the scene immediately after the attack.
