An incident involving an unruly passenger occurred on Ibom Air’s 6 pm flight from Abuja to Lagos on Friday, March 31, 2023.
The passenger’s behavior was deemed inappropriate and made other passengers nervous. The airline’s crew considered the passenger’s continuous unruly behavior to be a safety hazard and called on airport security to assist in the situation.
Despite several attempts to get the passenger to stop or disembark peacefully, the security operatives were left with no option but to forcefully remove the passenger from the flight. Ibom Air has assured passengers that the airline maintains very high safety and service standards and will not compromise the safety and security of passengers.
The airline has apologized to affected passengers for the delay caused by the incident.
