Plateau State Police Apprehend Alleged Killer of Ruth Bako

The Plateau State Police Command has apprehended a suspect in connection with the rape and murder of Ruth Bako, whose corpse was discovered near a car wash in the Farin Gada area of Jos North local government area in December 2022 Vanguard News reported.

The arrest was made following an investigation by police operatives of Laranto Division, who recovered Bako’s phone in the possession of Ephraim Emmanuel, a resident of Angwan Jarawa.

During interrogation, Emmanuel confessed to purchasing the phone from Friday Samson, an assistant choirmaster in a church and a security guard at a filling station, who subsequently admitted to raping and killing Bako.

Other suspects arrested by the police include those involved in armed robbery, theft, illegal possession of firearms, and criminal conspiracy. The Plateau State Police Command has assured the public that it will continue to work tirelessly to root out criminal elements in the state and address cases of police misconduct.
