Senator Dino Melaye is a highly esteemed Nigerian politician and former member of the 8th Nigerian National Assembly, where he represented the Kogi West Senatorial district.
In light of the upcoming gubernatorial elections slated for November 11th, 2023, in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States, Senator Melaye has declared his interest to contest for the position of Governor of Kogi State.

It is noteworthy that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the governorship elections for Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States to take place in November 2023.
