A 13-year-old girl from Maiduguri was accidentally shot by an arrow that pierced deep into her heart and abdomen. Thankfully, she received prompt medical attention and underwent a successful operation to remove the arrow. The procedure was performed by a skilled cardio-thoracic surgeon at UMTH Maiduguri.
While the incident was undoubtedly traumatic, we are relieved to hear that the young girl is now on the road to recovery.
However, we must advise viewer discretion as there are graphic images of the incident, including a photo of the girl lying with the arrow lodged in her chest, as well as X-rays showing the arrow in her abdomen and heart.
