Desmond Elliot Won Surulere Constituency

According to Vanguard yesterday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted nationwide governorship and assembly elections.

Although the election is currently in the sorting and collation stages, some polling units experienced technological glitches and were rescheduled for today, Sunday.

One of the keenly contested constituencies was Surulere, where candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Labour Party (LP) vied for the seat.

After the final collation of results, Elliot emerged as the winner with 17,877 votes, while the LP candidate came in second with 7,822 votes.
